Today I decided to research Parkinson’s Disease, as it is a very common disease that affects many older adults, and I have heard about many people who have Parkinson’s Disease, but I never really knew or understood what it is. So, I wanted to learn more about what happens to a person with Parkinson’s Disease.
What is Parkinson’s Disease?
Parkinson’s Disease is a disorder that causes the decline of the nervous system and brain over time. Its cause remains unknown, but some potential factors have been identified, including genetic and environmental factors.
Symptoms
Some symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease include tremor in the hand, muscle stiffness, slowed movements, and trouble with balance.
Treatments
Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for Parkinson’s Disease, but treatments such as medication, therapy, surgery, and exercise can help with symptoms of this disease.
